BMW E87 PJ3 BI-XENON PROJECTOR WITH F30 STYLE ANGEL EYES.

E87 consider a rare BMW model in Malaysia, it's with beautiful body line in sport back design. Today i'm going to share a projector retrofit work experience on this car.

As usual, most of the BMW car's model apply the cold seal on the headlight. So it takes me pretty much of time to dismantle the headlight cover, approximately 4 hours. As picture show, this is how it look after dismantle headlight cover. At the same time, many design idea keep coming into my head, and i have to choose the best design and color combination into it.

Due to the current BMW headlight design, I'm going to make the headlight combine with 2 tone color. I remain the grey cover frame and spray the inner part to black include the indicator light's reflector. I smoked the indicator light's reflector is to make the half transparent cover looks not so "old school". And i did the same thing into the cover frame around the main light's reflector bowl.

And so on, Now i'm consider other thing is how to make the F30 style LED angel eyes looks more fierce in this headlight. I decided to smoke the whole main beam reflector into black together with the projector shroud, The only thing i didn't smoked is the high beam reflector bowl, is to remain the function.




















After fitted on the PJ3 projector with the painted shroud, now is the time to try the F30 style LED angel eyes fitment. It's looks quite cool and this is exactly what m'i expect. From the picture we can see the overall look make the  grey frame with the LED ring more outstanding. Fitted back the half transparent indicator light's cover looks even nicer thou! i just love the combination, not too fancy but nice. ;D

This is the closer view of the F30 style LED ring, with the 1.5cm thickness acrylic and the blur surface its make the light output show smoother.

After the headlight retrofit i did changed the sealant into soft type, which we can easily dismantle in the future.  This is how the complete work looks like.
